Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) signed the Protocol of co operation with Tecnalia Research & Innovation, research & technology company from Spain.
FER, as one of the leading institutions in SE Europe in the field of electrical engineering, computing, information and communication technology with the mission to create knowledge, educate and innovate for the well-being of Croatia and its citizens, started co operation with Tecnalia Research & Innovation, technology corporation, seated in Basque Country, Spain, the first privately funded applied research & technology organisation in Spain and one of the leading in Europe.
Tecnalia has been developing in 2012 more than 400 R&D projects with 250 companies in Spain, Europe and the rest of the world, 65% of these companies are SMEs and 35% are large companies.
CBBS, as consulting and EU lobbying company, supported Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) in this project and was involved in the preparation of the Protocol and starting of the partnership.
The future co operation between the partners will be based on the development of high technology and transfer of the knowledge from universities to business community, by the support of research/scientific potential of Tecnalia and FER. The co operation will be focusing on innovation development, technology transfer and technology commercialization.
The co operation between FER and partners from Spain is planned to start with the first joint activities in 2014. The partners will involve in the co operation different public and private stakeholders from Spain, Croatia and other EU countries like: entrepreneurs, universities, government institutions, regional development agencies, public and governmental agencies, research institutes, local government and venture capitalists.
